TeamAgenda is a client-server group scheduling system for the Macintosh®, Windows™, and World Wide Web environments.
This ReadMe file explains how to install TeamAgenda components using this CD-ROM.
• TeamAgenda Components
--------------------------
A TeamAgenda system includes two basic components:
- TA-Server is the server program. It must be installed on only ONE computer on your network.
Once TA-Server has been installed, the TeamAgenda administrator should use it to enter your TeamAgenda serial number(s) and to create the Team database document. For a complete explanation of TA-Server installation and setup, open the TA-Server Readme file using the alias on the CD-ROM, or see Chapter 3 of the "TeamAgenda Administrator's Guide".
NOTE: If you are working alone and do not need to manage resources, you do not need to install TA-Server.
- TeamAgenda is the client program. It must be installed on each individual user's computer.
Once TeamAgenda has been installed on each user's computer, users should create their personal agenda files and join the Team. For a complete explanation of TeamAgenda installation and setup, open the TeamAgenda Readme file using the alias on the CD-ROM, or see Chapter 2 of the "TeamAgenda Administrator's Guide".
A TeamAgenda system may also include two optional components:
- TeamAgenda's Internet Extension works with your web server to let TeamAgenda users access and modify their schedules from any JavaScript-enabled web browser. You can also publish public calendars on the web. For further information see the TAgenda CGI folder on the CD-ROM. Contact your Teamsoft distributor for purchasing information.
- TeamAgenda's FileMaker Pro Integration makes TeamAgenda's sophisticated calendaring and group-scheduling capabilities accessible to FileMaker users, while TeamAgenda users can access FileMaker databases from within TeamAgenda. For further information see the FileMaker Integration folder on the CD-ROM. Contact your Teamsoft distributor for purchasing information.

• Creating TeamAgenda and TA-Server Disks
----------------------------------------------
If you need to install TeamAgenda or TA-Server on workstations that do not have CD-ROM drives, you can make the TeamAgenda CD-ROM available over your network.
Alternately, you can create the necessary sets of floppy disks from the disk images found in the Disk Images folder on this CD-ROM. You will need Apple's Disk Copy utility (version 6.1 or higher), which is available on your MacOS CD-ROM.
The Disk Images folder contains disk image files for TeamAgenda disks 1, 2 and 3, and for the TA-Server disk.
To make a floppy disk version of a disk image file:
1. Double-click on the Disk Copy application to open it.
2. Choose Make a Floppy... from the Utilities menu.
3. In the dialog box, open the Disk Images folder and choose the disk image file you wish to copy.
4. When asked, insert an empty high-density floppy disk.
Disk Copy will then create the disk.
(If the floppy disk contains any files, Disk Copy will ask if you want to erase the disk.)
Repeat this procedure for each disk image file.
